Strategies to decrease anxiety

Our staff will work with your child to develop specific skills to reduce barriers to change and decrease symptom severity to improve functioning across the lifespan.

Developing positive attachments

We will promote positive attachments, effective caregiver and authority figure interactions, and self confidence through the development and maintenance of appropriate social relationships and attachment styles.

Comprehensive Emotional Support

We are committed to enhancing and promoting therapeutic interventions to address specific needs and create an open environment designed to decrease isolation and withdrawal while promoting healthy coping strategies.

Skills to improve impulse control

We design, implement, and practice evidenced-based skill development oriented towards increasing emotion identification and regulation while enhancing strengths and limiting poor interpersonal interactions. 

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

STEP 1: Visit our PROGRAM PAGE or CALENDAR to identify any upcoming events or programs being held in your areas. 

STEP 2: REGISTER for the program that fits best for your child or dependent. 

STEP 3: You will be contacted by one of our team members and asked to complete intake documentation prior to the assessment/intake via the portal.

STEP 4: Participate in assessment/intake with a licensed clinician.

STEP 5: Receive notification of eligibility for enrollment or referrals to outside organizations or community resources. â€‹

STEP 6: If selected, complete final registration documents and any additional documentation necessary via in-person sign up date or send completed documentation via email to support@mh4kidz.com or by fax to 719-657-1381

STEP 7: Receive confirmation of attendance with final instructions! 

A typical day in group!

This example is for an 8 year old.

Groups will not exceed 12 members. 

A licensed clinician will lead each group as the facilitator. 

WEEK 2, DAY 1

8:15am - Arrive and Check-in

8:30am - Review Social Skills from Week 1

(Reinforce and practice social skills - Introduce concept of assertiveness)

8:45am - Role-Play social scenarios (psychodrama)

(Practice assertiveness communication, establish boundaries)

9:45am - Snack and transition

10:00am - Art therapy

(Provide creative outlet to express emotions, develop coping skills)

10:15am - Create a "Worry Stone" where participants decorate a small stone and use it as a tool for anxiety management.

11:15am - Create a personal emotion wheel

(Identify emotions, express through art)

11:50am - Clean up, snack, prepare for departure
